From January to December, there is always something happening at the Cité de la Voix.  Music provides the rhythm to the seasons: daily summer concerts, festivals, conferences, musical breakfasts, meetings with our artists in residence… our concert season is varied and surprising!

Happy Birthday JSB !

Le jour le plus long
June 21
The Fête de la musique and the summer solstice… There are plenty of reasons to celebrate the longest day of the year. From sunrise (and its famous concert at 5:22am!) to sunset the whole day is filled with music at the Cité de la Voix!

Les Quotidiennes
July-beginning of August
Two daily concerts at the basilica (4pm) and at the Cité de la Voix (5pm) by young ensembles in residence in Vézelay. An opportunity to discover up and coming musical groups.

Les Rencontres Musicales de Vézelay
4 days in the last half of August
The Rencontres Musicales de Vézelay is a festival dedicated to the vocal arts which takes place every year at the end of August. Four days and 19 concerts of vocal music unlike other festivals: outstanding programming which brings together some of the best European ensembles to perform sacred music, the magical setting of the Basilica, musical activities for the whole family and a simple and convivial atmosphere. You are invited to participate in the festivities on the “eternal hill” of Vézelay.

L’Été indien
Two first weekends in September
Jazz, soul, rap, folk, pop … we call this the Indian Summer at the Cité de la Voix ! Two young ensembles/groups in residence perform their particular style of music, bringing originality and new sounds to Vézelay!

Noël à la Cité
Christmas
This warm and convivial rendezvous is the perfect way to round off the year, with Chrismas music from all ages and from around the world.

And all year long…
Concerts, conferences, meetings with composers and artists in residence: the events continue all year long!
